African Development Bank: Open application for 2025 internship program


The African Development Bank (AfDB) is now taking applications for its 2025 Internship Program. This program gives students a chance to gain hands-on experience within a top financial institution in Africa.

Selected interns receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, and work opportunities related to AfDB’s long-term strategy.The program supports AfDB's goals under its Ten-Year Strategy (2023-2032) and aims to identify potential future employees. Interns work on projects in fields like energy, agriculture, and industrialization, which helps them build skills while contributing to the Bank’s mission to reduce poverty and support economic growth in Africa.

Internship Requirements and Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:

Be nationals of AfDB member countries, aged 18 to 30.

Be enrolled in a master’s program or have completed it within the last year.

Be fluent in English or French and proficient in software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.


Duration and Logistics
The internship lasts from three to six months. Interns receive a monthly stipend and health insurance. Some interns will work remotely, while others may work on-site at the Bank’s headquarters or regional offices. Remote interns need stable internet, while on-site interns cover their travel and accommodation, with visa support provided.
